External Apps are launchable web destinations that belong in a Prox OS Studio workspace without becoming data connectors.

An External App can describe:

  • title;
  • URL and domain;
  • platform;
  • category;
  • embed status;
  • launch mode;
  • tags;
  • owner space;
  • preview metadata.

Platform Examples

  • Notion Sites for public pages and team knowledge homes;
  • Obsidian Publish for markdown vault publishing;
  • Cloudflare Pages for static docs and app previews;
  • Vercel for generated and deployed frontend apps;
  • Netlify for portfolio and static sites;
  • GitHub Pages for repository-backed demos;
  • v0, Lovable, Bolt, and Claude Artifacts for AI-generated app and page outputs;
  • personal landing pages, docs sites, and demo sites for user-owned web assets.

Early state is URL registry plus mock preview and open rules. Mid state can add user-configured URL registry, real embed checks, screenshot previews, and desktop publish flows. Later state can add external app manifests, community gallery, user spaces, and permission-aware launch.
