Role
Slidepad is a corner-summoned quick app surface for web apps, Proxied Spaces, notes, AI, utilities, and fast context switching. It borrows the interaction idea of a shortcut plus corner panel, but it does not copy Setapp Slidepad branding, commercial language, or visual design.
Shortcut
The shell shortcut is:
Control + `Pressing it toggles the floating Slidepad surface. The shortcut is ignored while input, textarea, select, code editor, or contenteditable targets are focused.
Escape closes the surface through the normal transient-shell-state cleanup path.
Relationship To Spaces
/app-spaces/homeis the full Proxied Spaces home app./app-spaces/slidepadis the quick corner panel app./app-spacesremains a folder/root entry that should redirect or normalize to/app-spaces/home; it should not carry the complex app implementation.
Both surfaces use the same curated Proxied App seed direction and can share space templates, app rails, and compatibility information.

Future Uses
Slidepad can grow into quick web apps, notes, AI prompts, app action surfaces, and rapid context switching. It is not the same runtime as Floating Surface; Floating Surface is for persistent mini controls, while Slidepad is an on-demand app panel.
