Email Intelligence

Purpose

Email Intelligence is a connector inbox for priority summaries, categories, draft assistance placeholders, and AI-readable email context.

Boundary

It is not a Gmail, Outlook, iCloud Mail, IMAP, or full email client replacement. It does not receive, store, or send email.

Current MVP UI

• Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, and IMAP provider placeholders.
• Priority inbox, important threads, bills, legal, work, subscription, and AI summary panels.
• Permission and data retention boundaries.

Mock Data Model

The UI uses mock thread summaries, categories, urgency labels, draft placeholders, and retention notes.

Future Connectors

Future work may add OAuth scopes, metadata-only sync, provider adapters, local summaries, audit logs, and draft flows.

Alma Capabilities

Alma can later summarize priority threads, classify bills or legal mail, draft replies, and connect renewals to Wallet or Subscription Tracker.

Permission Boundaries

Metadata reads, body reads, draft creation, and sending are separate scopes. Sending always requires explicit confirmation.

Backend Status

No Gmail API, Outlook API, IMAP sync, OAuth callback, backend route, or email send exists.

Security And Privacy

Email is sensitive. Full raw email retention should be off by default; summaries and metadata should be minimized.
