Purpose

Bookmarks & Reading is a connector surface for saved links, reading queues, research boards, topic clusters, and future page summaries.

Boundary

It is not a browser, Readwise, Pocket, Raindrop, or bookmark manager replacement.

Current MVP UI

• Provider cards for Browser Bookmarks, Readwise, Pocket, Raindrop, and Local Reading List placeholders.
• Saved links, reading queue, topic clusters, research board preview, and AI summary panel.

Mock Data Model

The UI uses mock URLs, topics, reading status, saved link summaries, and project labels.

Future Connectors

Future work may add browser extension opt-in, manual imports, read-later provider adapters, and page summary jobs.

Alma Capabilities

Alma can later summarize saved links, extract themes, build a reading plan, and connect research to projects.

Permission Boundaries

Reading bookmarks, fetching page content, and writing to external archives are separate scopes. Page fetch requires consent.

Backend Status

No browser bookmark read, extension, crawler, page fetch, provider API, backend route, or database schema exists.

Security And Privacy

Reading history can reveal private interests. Future connectors should be opt-in, scoped, and transparent.
