Positioning

Market Watch is a static market observation and portfolio-record mock. It helps shape the UI for watchlists, holdings, asset categories, currencies, platform labels, and risk disclaimers without connecting real financial APIs.

Phase 1

  • Register market-watch at /app/market-watch.
  • Show summary cards for portfolio value, daily change, watchlist count, and cash allocation.
  • Show watchlist rows for AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, TSLA, SPY, VWCE, BTC, and ETH.
  • Show a portfolio trend chart, asset-kind breakdown, currency breakdown, and future platform placeholders.
  • Clearly label all data as mock and not investment advice.

Phase 2+

  • Add broker import review for providers such as IBKR, Robinhood, Trading212, bank exports, and crypto exchanges.
  • Add alerts and watchlist thresholds.
  • Add tax lot and statement import exploration.
  • Connect to Prox Wallet only after financial data boundaries are explicit.

Non-goals

  • No real market data.
  • No broker login.
  • No trading.
  • No investment advice.
  • No crypto custody or wallet connection.

Data Boundary

All prices, holdings, and platform labels are static fixtures. The app does not store real trades or connect to quote providers.

Relationships

Market Watch can later relate to Prox Wallet, Files, Notifications, and Search. It should remain a review surface, not an execution or advice surface.
